About The Visiting Vet

I'm Jacquin Mitchell- 'The Visiting Vet'. I graduated from Massey University in New Zealand in 1992 and have been working as a companion animal vet in the UK since 1998.

I set up The Visiting Vet in 2003 when I realised that a large proportion of animals coming into vet practices for routine visits were stressed by simply setting foot on the premises. Their owners sometimes weren't much better!

Clients who asked for house calls found that they were too expensive. When you run a busy Veterinary clinic it's difficult to justify releasing a vet for up to an hour, for a procedure that may only take 10 minutes at the surgery.

Because I don't have a surgery, I have few overheads which means I am able to come and visit your pet in your home for around the same amount that you'd pay to see a vet in a clinic.

If you have any questions about what I do, or how I can help you please contact me, either by phone or email.
